Where are you planning on spending your summers?

I have a Coleman Mach 8 cub. I like Coleman because it has a condensate pump instead of gravity fed drip cups like the Dometic penguin.

Penguins are popular. That's what the factory uses these days.

The 9200 BTU Coleman Mach 8 cub is quite small, so it runs just fine on a 15A outlet. But then, most people prefer higher BTU units for higher temp camping. I try to stay out of places that go too far over 100 deg F.

Your ideal BTU choice will depend on where you're camping. Usual advice I hear is that bigger is always better. I don't agree. I think an AC unit is more likely to freeze up if it's oversized, and a smaller unit will be more power efficient. Best to match the unit to your needs as closely as possible.

I have a 28 ft argosy and went with an air command 15k heat pump. For a 23ft in Orlando I would consider a 13k unit. I am not a fan of dometic. Who now owns Atwood. (Their customer service is horrible) If I had to buy another I'd get the Coleman .
