Is there a published list of Airstream Codes

I have found a scrap yard with several AS in it that was sold to them for scrap. Is there any way I can tell what model and year they are by the numbers on the data plates next to door?

All of these have the 3 lens tail light systems and they have round lenses where my76 Sovereign has square ones. Anybody know what year they went from square to round or round to square?

Also are the entrance doors interchangeable?

I am thinking about trying to save one that was evidently reworked for a single owner. The floor plan is like my Sovereign w/ midship beds both sides but this one has had one bed changed out to a large closet, dresser, desk built in.

The built in bed in the front end has been removed. If I can get it for a little more than they gave for it and it is cheap I might just get it for a project unit.

Also is there a central registry of stolen ASs? Reason I ask is one of these is on hold for a guy to come look at from Florida who had his stolen. The guy at scrap yard said people are stealing everything now. The one they think is stolen was apparently backed into something or a car hit it on right rear and the axles are gone so he isn't going to have much to recover.

What are the AS propane bottles worth? One still has them with one looking newer than the other. They have my info and are going to call me once they are cleared by the cops.

Airstream has several charts that explain the numbers. The codes are different depending on the era of the trailer.

I was unable to figure out what the TFYL2 means in my number, using that info. Any idea where to find it?

Yeah, I was kind of wondering about the uppermost code on our plate. The one below is the standard code, as outlined on the AS site. (It's "I 30 7 J 376.") But at the top it reads "D 79 FC." Got me.

I asked Andy once, and he said it was some sort of an internal Airstream number that no one knew what it meant.
