Bought a 2008 from a nice couple, had water inside the sky light, they said it was condensation.........(not) got it home got my ladder up I go and guess what over tightened screws broken plastic. Got a Idea, off to Lowes, $98 got a 2'x2' skylight. Time to modify had to cut the alum. frame so it would go over the existing protrusion that held the old skylight. Fit great, now I have a skylight with an aluminum frame not just plastic. Saved a lot of money, all you need is safety glasses a skill saw and a little work. Hope this saves someone some money.
