Interior rivet size

On our recent cross country trip we noticed a few interior rivets fell out. Can anyone tell me where to purchase replacement interior rivets and what size they are for the 2014 Flying Cloud 25FB?

Any other suggestions or advice on the replacement process is appreciated too.

TY

Call Airstream Service at JC - (937)596-6111 and speak with Amy at the store. She'll know exactly what you need and send them out to you.

But the real question is why is your trailer popping inside rivets?

Interior rivet size

nrgtrakr, Our question exactly! We've been Airstreaming for years and have owned other older, bigger & heavier Airstreams and never lost any rivets. We're open to any suggestions as to what we might look into. Thx

We have a 2015 Flying Cloud 25FB. We have noticed a missing interior rivet inside the upper cabinet over the stove. it is unclear whether the rivet popped out or the rivet hole was missed during my Airstream's manufacture. I haven't replaced it yet, but plan to do it when I can get around to it.

I remember Andy from Inland in another thread saying check axles, wheel balance, etc. - but that thread was about an older rig that actually could have bad axles. Maybe he'll show up here ...

I was popping a few rivets in our "new to us" 2006 25FB back in 2009. A new set of tires properly balanced and a minor adjustment to my WD hitch and all is good.

I had a flat tire which required jacking the trailer up and that popped one by the door. Nothing since. They are very easy to replace.

Interior rivets over the years have had different colors.

But, their diameter has always remained the same, namely 1/8 inch (.125).

Of course different lengths, depending on where used.

The sizing of pop rivets is easy.

The first number is the diameter in 32 nds of an inch.

The second number(s) are it's grip range in 16 ths.

As an example, a # 48 pop rivet is 1/8 inch in diameter and has a grip range of 1/2 inch. The length is actually about 1/8 inch longer.

But for "buck rivets", the second number is it's actual length.

As an example, a # 46 buck rivet is 1/8 inch in diameter (.125) and has a length of 3/8 inch (.375).

Andy
