Prodex, is used quite often. Johnsmanville has a fiberglass type without the use of Formaldehyde. There are quite a few threads on the subject. Like: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f36/...oor-61622.html

I'd recommend mineral wool over fibreglass as it is hydrophobic and won't retain water like fibreglass. Look to brands such as Roxul, which is readily available.

Avions used blown foam insulation and still holding up 20 plus years since last rigs were made. Also provides for stiffer walls and roof. Not sure if open or closed cell.
