installing pole ease flag holder on new AS

Hello all,

I want to install a pole ease flag on my trailer tongue. I have a '07 25 Intl with the usual electric jack /light combo. I was advised that I may need to add a "wedge" because of the light on the jack as the middle hole on the flag holder would be left unusable? What am I to do? Anybody have any pictures to share? If I saw a few installs it would probably ease my confusion. I'd like to fly at least 3 flags on our trailer.

thank you,

yakman

Flag Pole Mounts

Below are photos of the installation on my 31' Classic. I ordered two stainless steel muffler clamps via the internet and used a combination of stainless washers on the bottom clamp and aluminum spacers on the top clamp to create just enough angle for the flag poles to clear the light. I also ground a small groove in each of the clamps for the jack wiring to travel through without putting pressure on the wire when the clamps are tightened. Also added a small strip of anti-chafing molding to the clamp bracket to provide extra friction so the clamps would not twist. Was just in Gahanna a couple of weeks ago for an aviation safety meeting. The new downtown conference center was very nice.

flightlevel,

The head/light portion of my jack sticks out toward the tongue. Yours appears to be turned toward the road side? Is that the case? I haven't learned that trick yet. How do I do that? If I could do that, I would be able to open the tailgate on my truck all the way! And, it would solve the mystery of how much of a "wedge" I would need to install for that center flag pole work out.

Thanks again,

Yakman.

Elec Jack

Place trailer on your hitch, then remove the three mount bolts at the frame and turn the jack, then replace bolts.
You can use large stainless nuts as spacer for light.
The stainless clamps are at NAPA.

In use tailgating...

There are allen screws that allow you to loosen and then turn the motor 90 degrees to the side.

Pardon the wrong end of Lucy in one of the pics!

Question where to buy 5 pole holder?

Hi Brad,

Where did you get this 5 pole holder shown on Lucy?! I have searched everywhere for a fiver. What poles does it hold? I would like the flags set to different heights/arching in a semi-circle.

Any advise much appreciated! Had hoped to have this for a rendevous next week, but might not make it. I have the flags

Thank you!

5 Poler

I get $50 and $75 for a 5 poler, plus shipping. Here is a picture of what they look like. They are a little heavier duty than the Pole Ease holders. You will need the mounting hardware.

Hi Rob,

Looks really nice. Stainless steel or rust free? Will this work on a newer unit? I have a jack and tank set up like shown in my post above. Also, what kind of mounting hardware needed? Easily available at Home Depot? I am not mechanically inclined

Does the $75 include 5 poles? If not, where do I buy those? How do I pay you? I know of a flag distributer who might be interested in carrying this, they wanted me to let them know when I found something good in 3 and 5 poll sizes.

I am very interested, just want to make sure this is not beyond me!

Thank you

The 5 pole holder from Robandzoe for $75.00 is a steal. It has to be the best built flag holder made. I polished mine and it looks fantastic.

Thank you Craftsman

How did you attach it to your unit? What kind of hardware did you buy? Did it involve any special tools?

Also, did you buy the poles seperately? What are you using?

Oh! What are you using for lighting, or do you take the flags in at night?

I really appreciate the feedback and help, thank you!

I have the flags but haven't bought the poles yet. I could use some advise on the best ones to buy . May buy the poles from Pole Ease. They are $35.00 each. I installed mine using stainless steel clamps that I bought at Home Depot. There is some information on installing a flood light on another thread about flag holders.
