I'm on edge!

Just had my first outing in my 25/FB/Inter and had a wonderful time. But one annoying thing happened on multiple occasions; kept cutting myself on the edges of the dinning table and counters due the very sharp edges! Cant believe AS allows this. Most furnishings of this sort are bull nosed or beveled when built. Am planning on using a Dremmel to smooth the edge but dont want to chip or delaminate the Formica. Anyone tried this or has a better solution?

Well, without the benefit of seeing what you are trying to describe, I would start with a very fine sandpaper before going all Dremel on it.

Will you post some photos? If you camera has a macro button (symbol looks like a little flower usually) a real close-up or two would be good.

We had the same problem and added anodized aluminum counter edging to all those surfaces... We added to every edge that was an issue...even the tops of drawer faces. Not only did it solve the issue, it dressed up the Bambi nicely...

We got it at Ace in 6' lengths, pre-drilled and with screws for installation, but not all stores carry it. The product is M-D Counter Moulding A-813...the ACE skew # is 0 43374 69450 0...the "69450" is the important part. I believe you can also get it online at Amazon.com...

if it is a laminate square edge, use a file at a downward angle, pushing from top down. go lightly, it will take the sharp edge off. about a minute of time should do it. I worked a lot with laminate counters, that was the finishing touch on every job.
