If You Could Do a Re-Do?

If you could do something different on your AS update or restoration. What would that "thing" or "things" be and why?

Though I initially liked the looks of our Allure floor, it isn't holding up all that well - scratches too easily and edges are susceptible to coming up. I'd use marmoleum or Beauflor instead.Click image for larger version

My wife wants to remove the carpet in our '02 Classic and put in a "wood" floor.

I noted your choices above. Is there a reason you didn't mention the bamboo flooring?

Also, would you recommend guting the interior to lay the flooring?

We installed bamboo flooring in our house - supposedly the toughest kind available. Never again. It scratches way too easily in our house, and I'm sure it would be even worse in a TT that we take camping where all kinds of dirt gets tracked in and then stepped on before it can be swept up / mopped out.

I put in a tankless water heater, would not do that again. And when i replaced my skylights with fans I would have used two tubes of sealant on each!!! (they leak)

I installed a residential tankless, over a year now and so far so good.

I love the ability to take an endless shower. It is so boss.

I have installed flooring from 'Lumber Liquidators' (LL). It has been flawless. It all snaps together very snug.. has had ZERO problem 'coming apart' or wrinkling... Good stuff.

PM for pics if you want. We did NOT pull out the furniture..

On this particular trailer?
1. I would have bought from Foley in Gulfport, MS.
2. I probably would have special ordered rather than buy from dealer inventory.
3. twin beds for more storage, easy access to storage, easy to walk through, easy to make the bed-
4. 16" wheels and LT tires
5. ProPride 3P
6. brown (or whatever they call it) ultraleather
7. solar
8. inverter
9. all stainless options- water fill area, storage on street side, furnace cover, water heater cover, range hood vent
10. 4 or more AGM batteries

For the reason stated about scratching too easily, we didn't consider bamboo, but we have heard good reviews from people on the forum about cork. We almost bought the BeauFlor since it's what AS now uses (as well as many other RV manufacturers), but it's sold in big sheets and needs to be adhered with a particular glue, and being neophytes, we thought it might be difficult to lay.

We did gut the bedroom to lay the floor since we were revamping the beds anyway, but in the main salon, we only removed the couches and dinette, but trimmed around the kitchen cabinets. In the head, we removed the toilet but trimmed around the bathroom vanity.

Good luck with your project!

What size solar power system would you put in?

What size inverter would you put in?

And what size batteries would you put in?
