Identify what may have been here?

I am working on polishing my 61 Overlander and have found what remains of an old plaque or some attachment... Does anyone have an idea of what may have been attached here?? Approx 13" x 6".

Located to the right of the door by porch light.
May have been an owner identification??

Any suggestions on how to "seal" up these holes?

THANKS!!!

I don't know what it might have been - but as to what to do - there's a GREAT thread in here somewhere about patches that are VERY creative! I can't recall the right words to search for it...I'll keep thinking... :-)

Good luck!

Dealer plate? It would help if we knew where it was on the trailer, hard to tell from the photo... If you have access to the inside there's no need for a patch, just buck some rivets in.

Thanks for the suggestions etc.... Here are more pictures...if it helps!
I have the name badges, but maybe there were more? The placement leads me to believe it might have been an owner's name plaque... I do have fading WBCCI numbers and the remains of a porch light if that helps

Thanks for any new info!

In that location, I'm pretty sure it was nothing "factory".

Yup, I'm pretty sure its not factory either. If it were I think the rivets would have been more symetrically placed. I think you are on the right track of an owner identification home made plaque type thingy :-)
