Ice, ice Baby!

After a 'couple' years of being sidetracked, we are getting back into the restoration of our 66 Tradewind. One upcoming issue is that the original roof air is KAPUT! Need suggestions on replacement model. We are also considering the addition of heat strips. Would appreciate any feedback on this. One concern is that the interior ceiling shroud will fit properly on the curved ceiling. Could not find other threads on this but if available, links would be helpful. Thanks.

Times have changed, you can get a full fledged heat pump now. Mine will extract heat from the air even when the temperature is in the low 40's. Works much better than heat strips - with the right thermostat, it can even turn on the furnace when it's too cold for the heat pump to extract any more heat.

Mine is a Dometic 13,500 BTU unit.
