I have a strong mildew smell coming into the rear Bedroom of my 34 foot classic.
A strong mildew smell is coming from the outside rear compartment. Any suggestions on cleaning solutions that will kill the mildew?

Ventilation. Open the vents and windows. Put out shallow pans of household bleach. Sal.

You could also run a dehumidifier on humid days.

Just my two cents...
You have a leak. Stop the cause before you treat the result. In that era, leaks should be taken very seriously.

I agree with 62Overlander, I had a mildew smell and I found major floor rot under the beds across the whole back wall, curve to curve. The leak in my case was the back window, and it let water run undetected between the shell, and rotted the floor.

Reganzo

I too had mildew smell. I too had leaks (and a couple of mushrooms, I might add!) You probably have something going on there.....

It's a leak.
A dehumidifier from Lowes or other will help cut down on the smell (which is a problem, too, not just the leak itself), and you'll be glad you've run it. You'll get to the leak when you get to it, but the use the D-H constantly to keep the interior dry otherwise. Assume water has infiltrated, and that the compartment may not be near the leak entrance, it may be a ways away.
I leave out open pans of ammonia to help with odors. Cheap. Try [2] and change them every other day.

Don't know about mildew in a trailer, but here in metro New Orleans mildew is a constant enemy. One thing that works well for me is Pine-Sol (in about double the concentration listed on the bottle), which has the added benefit that while it's killing the mildew, it also covers the smell.
