I do aluminum polishing for a living

got my own little company i just started but ive been doing it a while. i do alot of enclosed aluminum trailers, huge fuel hauling rigs, semi trucks, rims ect. but i have never done a Airstream. but i want to start doing them since i have a good eye for proper polishing. my QUESTION to you folks is

question 1. how to you polish around things such as under a door handle/lock or just underneeth a window edge. because when you put a pad on aluminum it leaves very tiny lines going in the direction the pad was being held. so if you have to turn the pad a little bit to get right up against the underside of the lock how do you get rid of those off agnled lines ? or do you just have to deal with having them there?

question 2. has anyone here ever use a Airway pad to polish a Airstream

Here's another great resource...

Perfect Polish

Bottomline is you gotta have a Cyclo Polisher to get rid of all those tiny little scratches or "off agnled lines" as you called them.

Please Don't Use Acid on an Airstream

I infer from your user name that acid wash may be involved in polishing the big rigs that you work on.
We have reports from some members who have had truck polishers polish their trailers that this doesn't work on Airstreams.
Apparently the acid removes the seam sealer and once tight Airstreams begin to leak.
Can you comment on this?
Otherwise, the answer as stated above is that we use "Cyclo" polishers.

thankyou so much that all helped me quite a bit.

and no. acidstorm is just a user name ive had since i was 14 years old. i wouldnt acidize a trailor like a airstream. i use acid to clean up the grime on old diamond plate and semi rims. or anything thats really grimey. that way i use les sand papper(wich i wouldnt use on a airstream btw)

im realy excited to get started on my first airstream when my cyclo5 pro comes in
