It CAN be fixed.

Chances are very high that the frame is toast.

Look at this thread to see what you are up against and what a motivated owner can do in a short time.

This guy is super motivated and has a strong work ethic, typically these projects move slower.

The fact that I am opinionated does not presuppose that I am wrong......

Any of them can be repaired-My 67 was basically scrap when I started, but after finishing it last month I just put 4000 miles on it going to the balloon fest in NM and back to Florida. If you need advice on anything feel free to ask, I have done several Airstreams, the one before this 67 was a 69. In order to inspect the frame you need to pull the belly pan- This is a big job, but a good idea on these because even if the frame is OK you will probably have to replace the loose, corroded, and missing rivets anyway. Then you can re-insulate the floor, paint the frame, string new wiring, run new gas lines, install a grey water tank if it doesn't already have one, inspect the black water tank, etc. The two worst places on the frame are usually just behind the rear axle, and where the hitch and frame meet, so look underneath first. Good luck! Rolland 5953
