Hooking up water

I am completely new to this.... 1996 Safari

When I hook the water hose up do I need a regulator for pressure?

When the water is hooked up my grey tank ends up with water in it when I have not used any inside, why?
Is there a built in something that relieves the pressure on the lines inside and water just goes into my grey tank?

I have small drips around the road side wheel well.... NO idea why.

Please help...

I can help with part of your questions.

Some Campgrounds will have water pressure that's too high. My AS has a pressure regulator built in that is supposed to protect your plumbing system (but not the hose connecting your AS to the water source). Personally I always connect a pressure regulator when I hook up. If I recall it was <$20 so worth it to make sure. I keep the regulator connected to a filter which I connect to the source, and I attach my hose to the filter.

Be sure to get an adjustable one. The cheap fixed ones can't handle a reasonable high flow rate.

Hi,

(1.) I have a separate water pressure regulator to protect my water hose in camp grounds with very high water pressure. Your trailer has a built in pressure regulator so in most cases you won't need another one.

(2.) You could have a leaking faucet slowly filling your grey tank, or inaccurate tank gauges, which is very common.

(3.) This is where the air conditioner condensation tube is and water will normally drip there. More, or less, depending on the humidity.
