Hi Friends,

IS IT WORTH IT? Opinions please.]

I need some help in making a decision. I am picking up my new 2014 International Signature 23 FB next week.
They are offering me a in and out protection packgage for the Aluminium, leather, fabric etc....
Apparently Airstrem approved and the total cost is $2277 plus tax Canadian.

Do you want us to apply the AIRSTREAM APPROVED Protection?
1st application preferably done before you pick up your new RV
Includes: Hand applied (not spray-on)AIRSTREAM Platinum Shield Protection
Fabric protection as needed
Platinum Shield Leather / Vinyl Protection as needed
interiorvMaintenance Kit

Cheers Al

Since this is the very first time it has ever been mentioned on the internet, at least according to Google, I would tend to be wary.

I think the "Protection Package" includes the BPCF.

(Boat Payment Correction Factor)

Basically, that's a wash and wax job, with Scotchgard sprayed on the fabric and Armor-All on the tires. Automotive dealers used to tack on the "protection package" as a way of getting more of your money in their pockets, until buyers got wise. Apparently your Airstream dealer is trying the same thing with trailers now.

The decision not to spend over two grand for an afternoon's cleaning and polishing is a wise one.

Good decision, a couple of hours, maybe a little more and you've done it yourself.
