Help me remove this darn antenna!!!

65' Overlander - Wife hates this darn antenna, frankly so do I. Trouble is getting the crank handle off from the inside. All the rusty screws on the exterior are off but this plastic crank seems to keep the whole thing in place. Any ideas? Do I just break it off? Any value in keeping for another streamer? I was just going to recycle it.
