In the trucking industry, with the big loads, we always say ,it takes iron to move iron .

If you have to put air bags on to support the load you either have to much load or a bad suspension. Most of your truck parts are under rated for safety. Air bags do not change the load capacity of your truck ,. They only help you ignore it. Your truck is a package . Beefing up with air bags does not address brakes, axles, axle bearings, steering assembly, and frame. Air bags do not increase the strength of these parts. That out of the way a friend of mine called local trucking co's and found one with scales. He made a donation to their coffee fund and was able to use their scales. Most asphalt , concrete, and road construction co have scales. Find out what it weighs with out loads and hitch and go from there. Good luck and remember always go to the safe side on wts and towing capacities. Good luck.

Actually, it can also be because of a specialized suspension (like the Ford Raptor).
