We installed a Girard Tankless water heater in our 1972 Safari. The hole for the original hot water heater was bigger than Girard water heater. I used a piece of aluminum buck riveted in palce and used the smaller door. The heater install was easy because we had gutted the inside so made it easy for plumbing and gas line. It works great we love it.
In our 73? Soverign International, the hot water heater is apparently under the cabinet that is to the left of the toilet (as you sit there). I would like to take that out. Is there any way to movie it, and thus, the cabinet also? Maybe I could put something less...large and blocking there. Trying to find ways to open that rear bath up a bit. Tia!
