Getting an appraisal for '63 in coastal AL?

My 1963 Airstream Mostly Monty has reached about 3/4 of completion and I am starting to think about proper insurance coverage for my treasured silver bullet. I live in Southern AL. Any suggestions on someone to appraise the rebuilt trailer? I already checked with the local Camping World, and a few insurance agents. All suggested I try here on the forum.
I also live in a hurricane zone, so I need to make sure I have a solid insurance policy, just in case.
Thanks

Rick Foley of Foley RV in Gulfport is not only an Airstream dealer, he's an Airstream owner and a WBCCI member. You might drive over and ask him. Worst that could happen is he'd say "no."

But don't get insurance because of hurricanes. If you leave your Airstream at home when a hurricane is coming, you deserve whatever happens to it. By all means get insurance, to protect you from being goosed by the fickle finger of fate, but don't think for one minute that you're getting it because of hurricanes.

In the past, I have not left for hurricanes, but I sure would like to have the option. Have you been in hurricane evacuation traffic? From what I have heard, having a decent auto insurance policy in case I have to navigate the waves of people headed away from the coast seems like a reasonable plan, just in case. I will call Mr. Foley. Thank you!

Yes, I have been in evacuation traffic, because I foolishly waited to the last minute to get out for Hurricane Katrina.

The key to evacuating safely and with the least stress is to get out early before the rush, and/or to take a less traveled route instead of the Interstate highway system. Especially when pulling a trailer (or in my case a toad).
