Furnace Help

My furnace will fire up just fine and heat the trailer to the desired temperature, BUT, it will not cycle back on as the temperature goes down. It has a brand new Dometic Comfort Control and all else appears fine. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

I think there is a reset on the thermostat. I think your Airstream's instruction manual or the thermostat's instruction manual will walk you through the reset function. I've never had this problem so I'm not sure the reset will fix your problem, but I can't imagine that it would hurt anything to try the reset.

I believe this is the instruction manual for your thermostat. At the end of page 3 and beginning of page 4 it describes how to do a reset. Then it says to go to page 19 where a reset appears to be better explained. https://www.dometic.com/assets/59/19...9.pdf?att=true

SYSTEM RESET PROCEDURE:
When your unit was installed the appropriate dip switches on the electronic control board were turned ON to match your system configuration. Any time these settings are changed, a system reset will need to be done before the CCC 2 thermostat will recognize the updated selection.
To do a system reset:
1. Make sure the CCC 2 thermostat is in the OFF mode.
2. Simultaneously press the MODE and ZONE buttons. The LCD will display “IniT” and all available zones.
3. Release the MODE and ZONE buttons.
4. Press the ON/OFF button to exit system set up.

IMO the hard boot reset fixes a lot of setting quirks and otherwise of the ccc2.

You might to a search re ccc2 as there is a very good thread on this subject. I'll try to find and post.

As an example if while the unit is running ( i suspect mode is academic) if you change fan speed from auto to slow,(or probably high as well) then turn the unit off, the ccc2 becomes very confused.

In my case, when i did the above inadvertently when using the furnace, then turned it off. The next day when i turned on the furnace, the A/C would simultaneously fire.

ccc2 hard boot reset solved the problem.

Thanks to you both. Before I could do anything, furnace is working fine and cycling properly. I'll have to wait to see if it does it again. I appreciate the advice.

This is similar to what happened to me last year when dodging a hurricane. My A/C would not turn on as the temperature was stuck on 99 degrees. We spent a hot night in Tallahassee with no A/C. The next day I bought a new thermostat at Camping World on my way to Dothan AL. When I stopped for the night, my old thermostat was working perfectly. It never had this problem again and I'm sure it won't now that I have a backup!
