Fresh water tank leak 2012 Serenity 25'

I am looking for an RV dealer near Oshkosh Wisconsin that can fix or replace the fresh water tank on our 2012 Airstream Serenity 25'. The Milwaukee Airstream dealer tells me they can not fix it at their location. The
Airstream factory tells me it would be months before can get in!
Can anyone tell me if the tank can be dropped out without the trailer being raised? I have tried locally to find someone to help but with no luck.
The tank leaks about 3-4 gallons of water in 24 hours so is a real pain.
Any help or advise would be appreciated.
Thanks for any help.
Carl

Service appointments are available at Airstream in August. Was just looking at the website yesterday.

On our 25 Rear Bed model, the tank is held up by a black plastic tank cover and steel straps. I think you would have to raise the trailer somewhat to work comfortably under it. The tank itself is not terribly expensive but there are a lot of connections, quite labor intensive in a confined area.

I would make the appointment at Jackson Center, they have the parts at hand and will have you out in one day or slightly more, more than likely. Probably $1800 give or take a few hundred I'm guessing if it needs a tank replacement. They can give you an estimate.

Thumbs up Fresh water tank replaced at airstream

Made appointment at Airstream to get fresh Water tank fixed on our 2012 International Serenity 25' FB for August 16th at Airstream service dept. at factory in Jackson Center Ohio. Was a very pleasant appointment. Stayed overnight at Hampton Inn in Sidney Ohio.
Airstream customers get a nice discount on rooms.
Took trailer in at 7 AM. They went thru the problems with us and told us what to expect.
They had to replace the tank with a new one because the suction outlet was cracked at the base of tank. Took them until 4 PM to finish. Did a great job.
Could go and check on repair whenever we wanted to. Serviceman Brent was GREAT to work with.
Took factory tour at 2:00 PM. AMAZING!!! That in itself was worth the trip.
Total cost for repairs was $1012.
Everything is good to go for our 8 week trip to East coast and Nova Scotia this Fall.
Thanks for the forum help on this one.

Thanks for the feedback on the mothership and repair.

Did you discover what caused the leak?

Fresh water tank replaced at airstream

Airstream nor I know what caused the leak.
The trailer is 4+ years olds and we have put on over 40,000 miles and I do travel with the tank full a lot. Don't know if that had anything to it.
It should not .

I think that it was installed wrong at the factory and had too much tension on the fitting. That is only my theory. Will never know. Just glad its fixed.

This is our 2cd new Airstream. The first was a 2008 International CCD 23'.
Had less trouble with first one. We still love it like crazy.
