Allie,
I think your 1972 uses the same step as my 1975, IIRC they changed to a different step assembly in 1977. New parts will be expensive! But they are most likely available from any good vintage Airstream dealer. I buy a fair number of my parts from Out-of-Doors Mart in Colfax, NC. They do phone and mail orders.

Thanks Gene,

I’ll buy you lunch in Searcy. Maybe even upscale from Taco Bell. Seriously, I appreciate it. Karma coming your way. You too, Steve.

Window thingies

Hi there,

I need the window crank doohickies that pull the bottom of the window in tight. They are rectangular and mount on the bottom of the window frame. Not the clips on the window itself but the part that hooks into them. They say Phillips/Dayton on them. Do they have name?? I need 3 but six would be even better. I would gladly pay for shipping.
Thanks,
Jess

Sorry Jess,

All the window hardware was shipped off with the shell and chassis when I sold it.

Furnace?

Hi Steve,
I may be interested in the furnace if it's something that can be shipped and you are willing to do that. Don't blame you if it's not something you wanted to do. If so, any chance you have a photo you could send me. I would like to see if it will slide in to the existing spot or not on our 62 Bambi.
Thanks again for your generous offer with these parts.

George,

Once I get most of everything cleared out I can take pics for you and some measurements.

I don't even know if this furnace works since I never tested it befor gutting the stream, and with shipping costs I would hate it not to work...if you really want it then I will do it.

Steve

Thanks Steve,
Also, don't forget I am interested in those gaucho back piece hardware pieces if you have them and no one is interested in the gaucho.

Thanks again for your generous offer. By the way, I remember seeing a photo of you with a West Point shirt. Any chance you went there? My Mom grew up in Highland Falls and I have relatives there - a beautiful part of the world.

George,

I was there for a Blood Drive that collected about 200 units this past January. It was a nice area...right on the Hudson with Mountains all around.

Do you have a pic of what you are wanting? I am unsure what you are needing.

Steve

Hi Steve,
I'll get you a photo after the 10th. Our daughter just provided our 4th grandchild (a girl named after me - Georgia!) and my wife is in Florida helping out - with the digital camera. She returns on the 10th if they haven't killed her by then.
Thanks,
George
