Frame renforcement plate

I have read several posts in the past about a frame renforcement plate that bolts to the frame in the rear axle area. One post said they are available through ODMRV but I called them and they new nothing about them. I also called Jackson Center with same result. I have a 77 31 Sovereign with no current frame problem but I plan on being on the road all winter and like the idea of adding strength if at all possible. Does anyone e know where they are available and who makes them? Thankyou

All it would be is a simple fish plate. Pretty easy to make. Take some measurements and have a local welding/fabricating shop shear some pieces of 12 gauge for you. Or you could wasily torch them out too. Heck, cut them out with an angle grinder with a slitting wheel on it.
No sense going heavier than that. You just add unnecessary weight to your trailer. Then weld them onto the existing frame at the top and bottom. Don't weld the ends though.

Thanks for response. So are you thinking just a flat plate welded to the back of the c channel?

I think I bought mine from Inland rv

It is a bolt on to strength frame at axles.
