This 20' telescoping pole is from Camping World. I secure it under the tongue jack. Works great. Stores under the front gaucho sofa.

I'm presently looking for better telescoping poles that use spring-loaded buttons to lock in the extended position, and with rotating anti-furling rings to attach two flags to. Preferably in a 20' length for use with an "under the tire" base on my Interstate so I can get the lower flag on each pole above the van's roof line. So far I've not had a lot of luck; those features seem to be more common on poles for permanent mounting at home than on portable poles for RV use.

Protagonist, take a look at these guys. They have a very nice 22' fiberglass pole that has locking pins to prevent collapsing, breaks down to 48" 4lbs and a carrying case for $54.95.
We have ordered from them and like the quality of there flags.

I definitely endorse Sandlapper's flag poll holder. I have the three hole version and it's a high quality, well-designed product. I don't have close up photos to post, but I will take some and post them when I get my trailer back from JC - I'm going to add an LED light and switch so I can light the American flag after dark.

Finishing the Flag Pole for Display

Our holder is on its way, poles purchased, flags purchased, anxious to fly our colors.

Questions for those who use the Great Hawk poles. Anyone find something particularly befitting for a pole cap? Welcome any ideas. Also, any tips on mounting the flag. We purchased the swivel mounts, but the base has to be cinched down to the pole and I am just not sure how much cinching it will take before structure is breached.

Thanks

Scott

I have sandlappers pole mount. Very nice item. I use the painters poles. I got some wooden finials from "The Flag Store" in Sparks NV. I also use plastic swivel clips to hold the flags. A little wrap of duck tape makes the finial fit snugly. eventflags.com

Ditto - but I use hitch pins to hold the flags and I sprayed the poles and finials silver.
