First trip no heat or gas at stove?

We are in cold weather without furnace or gas at stove. Left dealer yesterday with all systems go in our 2014 international signature.
What should we check first?

Dealer probably turned propane tanks off for your safety. Turn tanks on and try one gas burner on the range, and report back.

Make sure you have propane make sure your spark igniter is working (battery or electric operated ) then propane lines can get cold and propane lines freeze kind of like a cigarette lighter course I'm in Minnesota that's how It works when it's really cold

Does anyone know if that's a propane line that hang exposed under the trailer or a water line if so what's the reason something that important would be exposed

Better exposed than in the trailer. Should it develop a leak the gas disperses. Enclose and should it develop a leak, kaboom 'bye 'bye trailer.

Likely you haven't purged air from the propane lines.

Insure that the propane valves are open and the indicator shows GREEN, meaning the presence of propane pressure in the system. Then go into the trailer and turn on a burner on the stove using either the igniter or a butane lighter until the burner lights. This indicates that air has been purged from the lines.

Next, cycle the water heater until it lights - should only take one or two times. The heater should then light on the first or second attempt.

IIRC, the propane line is outside the trailer by code.

I had same problem my first trip. I turned on water heater in bathroom. And it purged air out of line hope this helps

First time out. It's most likely air in the lines.

Turn stove on a bleed out the line, it could take a minute or so, just one burner.

Make sure you open your door while doing this.

Yep. First lesson I got when I met someone in the storage facility when first parking the trailer. He came over for a look at the AS and then said "after a long spell in storage you need to run the stovetop burners a bit to get "good gas" in the lines". I do this every time I take it out. Run the burners and the furnace for a bit and then light the fridge and hot water. If you don't purge the lines all the appliances ignition cycles will time out before good gas gets to their burners. If the tanks are really topped off, sometimes you need to close them and reopen them slowly to reset the safety flow limiter in the tank. As another poster mentioned, keep the door open and the igniter or match continuous until you get flame at the burners.

Thanks to all you ASers out there who responded to our problem of no propane on our first trip out. After trying many of your suggestions to no avail, we decided to go back to the AS dealer (1.5 hours out of our way). They ended up installing a new regulator so turns out nothing we could have done. However, if this were to happen again does anyone have a short-term "gerry-rig" solution?Thanks

We had a similar problem years ago with one of our former units, and it turned out the regular was mounted crooked. Repair man came out, poped the bottom screw out, leveled it up, put the screw back in, and we were back in bussiness.

There is no shortcut to bypass a bad regulator IMO. I thought the dealer sent you off with all systems working at the get go? A small plug in electric heater or two are good to have on hand for propane emergencies, but obviously you need electric.

You can buy a cheap regulator at WalMart or Home Depot to get yourself out of a tight spot should this happen again.

Suggest that you have a propane pressure gauge (manometer) installed. Mine is installed using a "T" in the gas line to the refrigerator. That way you can tell if the regulator needs adjusting.
