Just bought one at Costco. Regular price $360.00, $110.00 off, sale price $250.00. They're $333.00 at Amazon.
I'll probably regret it in the morning.

Okay, I pulled the trigger on the Dyson Hot/Cold unit at Costco. Good thing I went back today. On Saturday there was a display set up and about 7-8 pallets on an isle end. This evening when I went back the display was gone and there were 6-7 units left. Boy those went fast.... I guess that $110.00 off the price was enough to make them fly off the shelves.

Hi, Okay; To keep this thread legitimate, Scott said that he will sell me his Dyson for under $100.00 at the Jackson Rancheria Rally.

Double negative makes a positive!
Does this count in the $100 thread?
Furnace seemed inefficient and noisy, so....
I bought a catalytic heater ($120), had it plumbed ($50), took it out ($30), bought a small electric heater ($40).
Then there is the hassle cost of hose, wires, storage, tripping, fire hazard, etc. (est at $200)) for years.
Then I bought a two stage furnace (two fan speeds thermo controlled), and was able to sell the rest, or at least amortize it on taxes, write It off mentally, or whatever.
No problem since. Quiet, efficient, and out of the way.
So...
$540 - $240 - $200= $100. Ha!

Replaced the exhaust vent motor with a 12v fan. Great when boondocking, it uses less than 1A.

Not necessarily a mod to the trailer- more like an accessory-
A pair of Don Featherstone pink flamingos for the trailer.
Also, Airforums stickers for the trailer.

Hi, today I was in my trailer getting it ready to go and noticed a loose screw holding my bathroom door on. I tightened the screw and checked the rest. They were all tight, but when I pushed on them the board moved. The 1/2" hinge board is only brad/air nailed to the bathroom wall and had a 1/8" to 3/16" gap. The screws hold the door hinge to the wall were only 1/2" long, just enough to fit the hinge board, but not enough to hold it to the wall. I replace all the wall side screws with Kreg 1 1/4" screws. Now the gap is gone and the door no longer feels like it is going to fall off.
Cost of Kreg screws, less than a dollar.

Dyson must be laughing all the way to the bank. Any electric heater is by definition 100% efficient. that is, all of the electricity sent to the heating element is released as heat to warm the space around it. Some electricity is used to move air across the heater (in the case of heaters with fans) unless it is a radiant type that does not have a fan.
So for an exorbitant amount of money, you get a noisy fan.
In addition, I couldn't find out what the heat output (in watts) was for any of their models.
We use a simple Pelonis 1500 watt electric heater with two speed fan and built in thermostat. At $35 including tax it is less than 1/10 the price of the Dyson. At that price, for the Dyson, one might just as well run the propane furnace.

Folding hooks from Lee Valley
Moved the hand towel ring from the wall to under mirror shelf and placed a folding hook in its place . ( from Lee Valley ) .
Now when I walk in I can see two things covered by the towel before this mod;
1 the light switch and 2 the hot water tank switches , oh and other bonus is my wife doesn't need to ask me about hanging that other mirror ( on the hook)
I also have these folding hooks in the bedroom , inside the closet door and in the galley . They are great !!
Fold-Away Hooks - Lee Valley Tools
One of those little things that make a big difference .

The gold cabinet handles, knobs and hinges in my '90 Excella seemed out of place in an otherwise silver palace, so I replaced them all yesterday. Did simple curved brushed nickel handles - looks much better to my eye. $73 for 16 handles, 5 knobs and 27 hinges.
I also added LED reading lights in the bedroom, $20 each from Amazon. I've ordered two somewhat fancier ones for $40 each for the front.
I'm saving all of the original bits as I have learned from restoring cars.

Here's another picture - I can't get it to attach more than one at a time for some reason.
