If you live in fear that someone will play around with your hitch jack, or pull the pin on your breakaway switch while you are away for the day, install an ignition switch in the power line to the breakaway switch and jack.
You can wire it so that the jack is powered while the breakaway is disabled, or vice versa if you don't want your jack to deploy while you are traveling. Or both can be on at the same time.
Cost is about $10 at any auto parts store. You can install it inside the trailer, or outside under a rain tight cover.

i seem to recall an episode of the simple life w/ paris hilton getting pulled over by the police for running down the road with the neon lit.
