My neighbor must not be an Airstream fan. I fixed my gate for free so that I could park my Overlander in the backyard. When I got home from going out of town he built me a nice 8' fence. That's my mod for under $100 for the week.

Cristobal,

At this juncture, you might as well rub salt in an open wound and let your fun-loving neighbor know that he is now famous amongst the airstream community....

I posted a picture, but I can't get it in this thread. It's just under my photos.

Maybe he knows that if he keeps looking at your Airstream he will buy one.

I didn't like the flimsy cheap battery tie down that came with my battery so I bent some thick aluminum, lined the contact point on top with with self stick black rubber foam and screwed it to the floor. it stays put and doesn't look half bad in the hatch within my dinette seat. cheers. Ted

I also put two 12 volt lights in the rear access hatch under my rear bed. I put the lighted switch inside the cabin so I'm less likely to leave it on after closing up the hatch. kind of a no brainer to have lights where you store things.

Hey, Cristobal, didn't your neighbor build that fence backward? If he's on the left in the picture, the good side of the fence should be facing your Airstream (and your property). Maybe you should flip it around while he's out of town....

Yes, many communities dictate that the fence builder needs to put the good side on the outside. Maybe you could settle the matter by having him build you a new gate?

Oh, It's no problem. I'm going to use some lattice in the back and grow me some grapes so that I can experiment with making some wine and I'm going to plant some Ivy on the front part which will be my new parking spot for the airstream. It's all good.
