Poppy, I have 3 of those lights in my Amazon basket for a while. They look good installed. I may have to go ahead and place my order for them. What do you think about the brightness/color of them?

I like the way they look. Not fancy but functional, which is my theme for the trailer. The light is very bright - maybe should have ordered warm white - but I think they will work well by directing them indirectly off the drapes. Very inexpensive.

I ordered slightly more upscale ones for the front.

Favorite under $100. mod is the just bought pair of Worthington 30 gal. aluminum tanks for ....drum roll...............$40.00. They came off an old Spartan that sat in the woods for at least 35 years, and they are near pristine.. In the process of polishing them, then off to have new valves put in ($25.00 ea.)
So it will $90.00 for a pair of them. Anyone else interested, if I run across some more? he..he..he..

We have the 'bright white' replacement LEDs in our reading lights. I wish we had gone with the 'warm white' instead.

Hi, I always have a polarity tester in my trailer's kitchen, but my brother thinks it's better to check it at the post. Well I did that, but I can't see the dim lights during the day. So today I made a 30 Amp polarity tester for day time use. Probably about $10.00 in parts.

My latest inexpensive mod - 3 folding towel hooks from Lee Valley 21$; a scrap piece of wenge 0$; 18" of commercial double sided tape...1$ and voila! matching décor, unobtrusive towel hooks for the washroom.

I try to use double sided tape as much as possible rather than drilling into the cabinetry or aluminum. So far ( book rack, mail holder, various decorations ) so good.

I need to replace the puck lights above the bed in our 04 Classic. the pucks shine right down on your eyes when reading.

What is the make and Mod. number of the lights you got from Amazon? They look like they are directional and would work for me.

Shallow, light-weight basket with handles that fits perfectly on the left side of bathroom counter (09 20' FC), velcro-ed with small tabs, for overflow cosmetics, shaving stuff, etc. Travels well over the roughest roads. Lift off for cleaning. $2.95 at Goodwill (on senior's day). Jeff

Keep pucks and change to LED pads.

My favorite mod was simple but, much needed. The storage compartment in the back of my 06 Bambino is dark at night and it's hard to find things without a flash light. I took a battery powered light that was used for the shell/cap on the back of my truck. I hard wired one in it's place and used the battery powered one in the storage compartment. I attached it right above the inside of the door using industrial strength Velcro so I can pull it off if I need to use it somewhere else.... Very cool and cheap - maybe $20. Sometimes I open the back turn on the light and sit in my chair and marvel at what I've done..... Darn my wife has good ideas!

We have a lot of mods in our Airstream but I think my fave under $100 one is my Holdsall rack - it's a very stylish solution for all those hats, bags, jackets and other things you want to hang up. The original designer was George Nelson but I found a great reproduction on Amazon.

Bought a pair of the hard plastic mats for use under rolling office chairs from Costco, and trimmed them to cover the carpet in the cargo space of my 2007 extended length Ford Expedition. They have kept the carpet in new condition.

Acrylic screen covers for the screen door. Allows you leave the main cabin door open in cool or hot weather.

Lots of mods, most are less than $100. Current favorite, use it every day in any wx, is the Salem (or Ram) vent installed low on curbside wall between sofa and door. Lets fresh air in, keeps bugs and rain out. Technical name is two-way hingeless vent, I think. Installed it to vent the catastrophic heater (thx to AZflycaster for that heater name), but found out we like having this fresh air coming in all the time.

Installation took two hours, parts cost south of $75 unless purchased from Airstream Co (then parts are over $100). Does this knock me off this page? I didn't buy from AS, we found a cargo trailer builder in Elkhart who sold to us. Same thru-wall vent commonly used in FreightLiner and other sleeper cabs.

That flap door on mine leaked like crazy when there was a hard blowing rain. I ended up patching it up till I can find the time to redesign it and put a scoop on there instead of the door.

You have a bad exterior rivet to the lower right of your flap door. I had leaks on both sides of the door from loose rivets. A little Parbond fixed that problem. The black powder around the rivet is a telltail sign. I have seen this on my trailer and others. The constant opening and closing of the door loosens the rivets.

Here is my cheap fix.
