Fantastic Fan vent cover or not ?

Love these fans. Thinking of a fan vent cover on at least one of them . So they can run in raining weather
Good idea or Bad ?

Good idea. One of the first mods I did to my Trailer. Installed it myself with no issues.

They have a vent cover on them. If you keep it mostly closed but open enough to run it should not leak

Good idea!
I used the fantastic ultra breeze cover. The fan lid actually fits perfectly into that cover.
Since I added it the lid no longer goes up and down with dampness on the sensor.

One of the best mod's you will do for the money. Ventilate in all weather and going down the road, or parked at home, cover both fans. We use a Maxxair II in front and regular Maxxair in back to fit between the solar panels, both gray color. I like the look of these but they all work very well.

Very good idea. Also, consider the advantage of allowing the Fantastic Vent to be open slightly for ventilation during storage. We are convinced it can curb much of the condensation inside of the RV. Our trailer has a smoke color Maxxair II over front vent, and nothing covering the rear bedroom vent.

Good idea. I have noticed when traveling in warm to hot weather it is nice to have the fan open and the vent cover allows me to do that. Also, many times when it is raining it is also warm to hot so it is nice to have that cover on so I can keep the fan open and or on.

This is exactly the setup that I have, reversed since we have an FB, and I am quite satisfied with it. I also like the ease of installation with the Maxxair II cover, compared with the Fantastic.

Can you have a fantastic fan open without the fan in operation ?I haven't figured out how to do this on my remote control models that I put in my Overlander.

To Hell with the remote; reach up and open the lid by hand, and shut off the fan.
