When I need max cooling, I set mine up in wind tunnel mode (one in/one out/windows closed) and it's really effective. At night I will set one or both blowing out and then open the rear window so that the incoming air is drawn across my bed.

My FVs were one of the best purchases I've made and if I had to do it again I would have bought one vent with the remote control (in addition to the thermostat, reversing switch and rain sensors) so that I could close an open bedroom vent when it got too cold without getting out of my nice warm blankets.

I bought mine from Vintage and I'm completely pleased.

When I added a second powered vent I used a MaxxAir fan because it keeps running even in the rain. Those rainy warm days are exactly when I want the fan to work. The FV Ultra Vent cover, would solve the problem for my Fantastic Fan.

Crusty's wind tunnel mode is what I use too. It keeps you cool in all but the most hot and humid situations.

Great customer service

Our rear Fantastic Fan on our 31' stopped working. After researching the forums and cleaning the plunger switch, the fan still did not work. One phone call to Fantastic explaining the problem solved our issue. Even though our unit is 7 years old, at their decision, they sent me a new fan motor and blade assembly along with a new temp control switch just in case that was the problem, at no cost, not even shipping. Just installed the fan motor and blade assembly and the problem is fixed. What a pleasure to deal with this company which stands behind their product, even when the product is beyond its warranty date. Way to go Fantastic Fans, besides being a good product, you also have great customer service.
