Exterior logo damaged

The I in Airstream on my front logo has become discolored. Any chance of repairing this, or is replacement the only option?

Could you cut a piece of similarly colored premium grade vinyl to fill in the missing piece?
Ive done some patching to my Excella blue.stripes that I'm not ready to replace until after a polish.

The piece is not missing. It is there. It just lost its black.

Interesting. So is it painted from the inside?

It's hard to describe. It's like the black paint of the letter peeled off, but the letter itself is still there. The clear part is not missing, it is just an unpainted letter.

Have no idea how that can happen, but there's the picture.

A new logo is $17 plus shipping, ordered from the dealer. Here's some other part numbers in case someone is interested.

You could apply black electrician's tape to the part of letter missing the black topcoat.

Or you could get a replacement two sided adhesive transfer type decal. You can't get a single letter. As noted above, the part no. is 386150 for the "Airstream" decal on the endcaps.

In the trivia dept "Airstream" is offset about 1" right of center on my trailer, and the spacing between letters was different between the originals and the replacements.

Got the logo. Going to cut the I out to install that. If anyone needs a letter let me know.

I think I'd use a heat gun and remove the old one. Then apply the new one rather than cutting out one letter. You'll have more issues centering the one letter than you will centering the entire decal. I just did numbers on my boat and it's not that difficult. PM me privately and I will share the procedure with you.

The old one is the individual letters. Not sure I want to deal with removing 7 good letters to just add one. Thanks though.

Fixed. Easy as pie. If anyone needs a letter let me know. Not the "I" though. That one was used.
