Exterior Light for Entry Steps

I would like to install a light under my AS that would highlight the entry steps. When exiting my AS at night the steps are very hard to see.

I have purchased a 12v LED light that will fit under the AS that will light up my steps at night. My plan is to tie into the wiring/switch that operates the exterior light over the door. Has anyone else done such a thing? Does anyone have a problem seeing the steps at night? Thanks

Yes; I installed a marine underwater blue light to light the steps, connected to the exterior door light.

Thank you. I'll take a look online for a marine light and see if I'd prefer that over what I have. I have a cabinet on the back side of the exterior light switch just inside the AS that I can use for access to the door light switch. Is that what you did as well?

Hello,
I removed the aluminum interior door threshold piece and drilled a hole in the floor. threaded the wires up through the hole, sealed and mounted the light above the step. Then ran the wire along the door edge, re-installed the threshold. worked the wires in between the cabinet edge and the wall of the trailer up to the switch. Connected the wire to the overheard exterior door switch.

I like the blue light as it is soft and does not glare.
