Expensive Faucet

I have my 07 Safari at a RV shop in San Antonio for some minor problems one of which was a loose kitchen faucet. To replace the faucet they gave me a price of $450.00 just for the faucet. Needless to say we told them we would supply the faucet. My wife found the same faucet at Lowe's for $82.00. That was quite a mark up.

I think I'd be thanking them for their time and tell them to get the heck off my AS. That's outrageous. Was it the platinum faucet or what? Sheesh

Thumbs up replacing kitchen faucet

I replaced the faucet in my 01 classic using Moen's lifetime warranty and it cost me nada, as in nothing ! Was your's a Moen and if so, did you check out their warranty ?
I called their customer service told them that the faucet was bad and they sent a new one out and didn't want the old one back, now that is great customer service in my opinion ! [ the list price was over $300.00 ]

By a strange coincidence, I had to replace a Moen faucet in an CCD yesterday. I looked at the price sticker, and decided I needed to go get a velvet cushion to carry it out to the trailer. The reason I am bringing this up: Our cost was 81% of the amount on the sticker. We got it from Airstream, and after doing a little research, I found the same, or nearly identical, faucets for about half that price. So, the huge price may not be all the dealer's doing. If Airstream charged them, say, $350, and they used even a below-standard markup ratio, it would be the price quoted.
Long story short, in many cases the high price is not something the dealer has absolute control over.

Be careful of the facet you get. Some now have a thermostat controlled mixing spring in then that do not always work well with low flow water systems.
