Excellent Dealer Experiences

Too often we share our ''bad'' experiences with people but not as much the good. I thought that we should share our good experiences with dealers. Not just the Airstream dealers, but the ''mom and pop'' dealers as well. Use this thred to thank someone for a job well done. ShinyPete's experience with J.D Sanders 04 05 2014 is the idea for this thred. I would like to thank Colonial for giving me a deal on stabilizer pads. And the many dealers/ venders that take the time during their busy scheduals, to help us on this website.Your imput will benefit us as well as them.

Kudos to Out Of Doors Mart

I don't have much experience with dealers except to purchase parts for our 1992 Classic. Most dealers that we've encountered have been helpful, or at least courteous.

Out Of Doors Mart in Colfax, NC deserves a shout-out for being a long-time Airstream dealer and parts supplier. They've helped me a number of times over the phone and several times in person. They've matched internet prices on a few items. They've always taken time to help me find the right part and most of the time they don't even have to look up the part number and location they just go right to the shelf and find it.

Excellent parts department at AS Adv NW in Seattle (Covington) WA; if they don't have what you are after, they will get it and quickly ship it to you. Thank you, Dale!

Sales side has been very competitive as well. We have voted there with our checkbook twice on new AS purchases - with a realistic value for our trade-ins. Our only observations is that is is a long ways away for service and AS quality control seems to be going down from our first FC to our last two Internationals.

Three places stand out for me for giving good service. Foley RV (AKA Airstream of Mississippi) in Gulfport, Mississippi, where I bought my Airstream Interstate; Mercedes Benz of Baton Rouge, where I have the engine and chassis work performed on my Interstate; and Cummins Mid-South on Airline Drive in Kenner, LA, where I had my on-board Onan generator serviced.

Both Sales and Service at Holiday Travel Trailer Sales in Alberquerque get an EXCELLENT rating from me. Family owned and operated. Honest, accommodating people who know their business and respect their clients.

A big thanks to Ron Rawl at John's RV in Lexington SC. They are a brand new Airstream dealer and we were lucky enough to be their first Airstream purchaser (2015 Signature 23D). Couldn't be happier. Absolutely no issues to speak of. Prep and tow setup was great and he took lots of time on walk thru. I though it was a pretty good deal too.

Thank you for this thread, great opportunity to say that our experience with Airstream Adventures Northwest in Portland was very pleasant. Great people and so willing to work us into their schedule. All work done right the first time. Thanks to Katie, Brian, Jill and Jim for an outstanding experience.

Never bought anything from Foley RV, but Rick did invite us to stop by (camp overnight) if we get to the Gulf Coast.

We had a good experience buying our new 28 at Bay Area Airstream Adventures. We had a couple of small customizations done, and so far service has been good too. Stay tuned as the inevitable warranty issues crop up, to see how they are dealt with.

Thumbs up Out of Doors Mart

I've never purchased a new Airstream, but I have been dealing with Out of Doors Mart for more than 20 years. They supplied a replacement AC for the first trailer I owned. They have repaired a furnace, repaired brakes, greased bearings, and most of all sold me parts I needed, and more. Every time they said something would be done or delivered by a certain date, it was.

I've also had things break while I was on the road, several states away. One phone call to their parts department and the parts are on the way!

They have also given me a lot of good advice for free.

I'll add a third positive to Out of Doors Mart. I have purchased two new Airstreams from them (well, the 2d one is a '15 Classic, due in soon)....but I've also had some serious repair work done, and bought parts galore for various projects. The parts guys are just awesome to deal with. If they don't have it, they get it pronto and call when the parts are there. Mike who handles service does a great job as well. The techs also know their business. I've had work done at JC as well, and I think ODM is right alongside them. Oh, and I have never found anything that Terry doesn't know about Airstreams!

i'll have to agree with the posts about Out of Doors Mart on every point! my trailer gas been nice enough to wait until i'm nearby to have problems. Terry was sharp enough to recently find a few things done wrong at the factory.

In agreement about Airstream NW in Covington on all three points. Including the comment about service being far, heck I wished I was as close as you mefly2.....😄

Cheers

Midtown in Penticton BC. My 3rd dealer as I am on my 3rd A/S and if I were to buy a 4th they would hands down get the deal.
Excellent sales and after sales service. Always going that extra step to make sure we are happy.
