Drawers Slide out! Reverse the hooks.

Our drawers kept sliding out...even took the problem to an RV repair shop to no avail. Finally, we took out the drawers and sure enough, the black hooks were installed incorrectly. We reversed the hooks and now they 'catch'. We're leaving the childproof locks on the drawers for extreme bumpy roads.

Welcome to Quality Control 201 (the graduate level course..).. THis is the part where you are now completely in charge of making sure everything in your trailer works as intended and the way you feel good about it.. Lots of little corrections and fixes and enhancements are part of owning an Airstream.. THey may all look idential on dealer lots when new, but there's a reason they start looking different after the owners settle in.. Good "catch" (pun intended.) and good luck as you keep improving your Airstream...

In Theory, there's no difference between Theory and Practice, but in Practice, there is usually a difference...

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

Sometimes I thinks that the Airstream Factory does some things like that to keep us on our toes.

Had same problem on my 2005 Safari. Ended up putting child locks and it solved the problem. One of the more easier fixes. )
