Door lock question

I have a 78 ambassador and the main door lock has a problem when I put the key in it I can turn it around and nothing happens. Can I just replace the inside of this lock without changing the whole handle?

That lock and parts for it, have been obsolete for many years.

I see Inland RV has replacement but states "don't fit flush with door". Kinda need to lock my door when I'm not around.

The lock kit works just fine, when properly installed.

Will this lock cylinder work to replace the old one?
