Dometic Refrigerator RM2551 Door Latch Worn Out 2013 Flying Cloud 23D

My 2013 Flying Cloud 23D has a Dometic Refrigerator Model RM2551. There is a latch mounted to the top corner of the door, it hooks onto a very small piece of hard rubber that is clipped into a slot inside the door frame. That small piece happens to be light gray on ours. It half hidden inside the door frame, the part of it you can see is about 3/8" tall, 1/8" wide and 1/16" deep. It (was) a wedge shape allowing the latch on the door to slide over it, but catch on the backside.

On our lightly used AS this piece has lost so much of its material and shape that the door latch is no longer retained. Sitting still the magnetic door seal holds the door, but underway this isn't the case.

I am having trouble finding this part from Dometic or my AS dealer.

Has anyone had to deal with this? Has anyone a part reference of another fix.

I've found the part at the local Airstream dealer. This requires the refrigerator to be removed, at least pulled out some inches, in order to replace the latch from inside of the frame.

Has anyone done this, and perhaps can offer advise?
