Dill tpms week signal?

It's been two and a half years since the tpms been installed. It has worked perfectly fine till now. The last two times on the road failure.
Sometimes I'd get three tire reading and sometimes only one. I've tried the antenna at the bumper with the same result, then I tried inside the the unit and got all 4 tires to read. Weak signal or time to replace chips and transmitter? The book say the batteries should last 5-7 years.

Thanks again for the link after 2 e mails with no response, I called them. After a great conversation they are going to send me a booster/ repeater. He said that they had some issues with trailers and motor homes, including airstreams, that the metal blocks the signal. Since it work before they thought a booster might help. I will let you know if it fixes the issue,

Coaster - where is your external antenna for the Dill TPMS? I have mine mounted (mag mount) on the roof of my TV. When I had it inside the TV cab, I wasn't able to get a clear signal, but roof-mounted it works fine.

Roof mount?

I just received my TST monitoring system and have not installed it yet
I'll be installing it on my 345 motor home because I have not installed it yet I was just wondering about the roof mount idea?
Obviously I can't use a maginet for the roof mount but my question is
Is the larger antenna weather proof?
Maybe this is thinking to "outside the box" but what about mounting the larger antenna under the chassis a little further back to pickup the rear signal, again I might not even need it, just wondering
This system is getting hard wired into my 345 along with my new oil temp, oil press, water temp, trans temp, and volt meter

I've allways put the external antenna on the roof of my f150. It also worked well when I've had 2 kyacks across the roof. Now I have a topper with a rack. We drove 500 miles then it started to act up

Grosspoluter - There is a way to be able to use a mag mount with aluminum. I needed to be able to mount a back-up camera (actually a hitch cam to use for backing up) on the bumper cover of my AS - that cover is extruded aluminum. What I did was to get a 4-inch square of stainless steel that will hold a magnet and rivet it to the bumper cover. So you could actually do the same on the roof of your 345. Just make sure you coat the area with Vulkem and seal the edges and the bottoms of the Olympic rivets with Vulkem as well.
