If you must have a dealer, you might wish to call Roger Williams Airstream in Weatherford and speak with Denver about your repair needs. When we lived in Aledo we used those folks for mods and repairs and were extrememly satisfied. While the head honcho isn't there any longer, if Denver is still there you should be very happy with the results. The repair you mention should be easy enough for any competent Airstream tech to handle however. Good luck.
I have used them both. Other than a panel replacement I would go to Roger Williams Airstream....especially if you have a Vintage....or just want quality, clean, workmanship. Great folks at both places.

North Dallas RV did a wonderful job. Randy was extremely helpful and took care of all our laundry list of issues in a timely manner. Thanks everyone for your help .
Hmmmmm> Eastern Washington sounds good to me.
Tell him/her to call. We have a talent void.
P.S...Do you miss the flying?
I am not letting them go! they are mine all mine! sorry getting carried away.
I do miss flying but I am not willing to get a taste of the powered airplane. I am goign to stick with un-powered "winged" vehicles. I am looking at hang gliders and possibly a glider club. Definately parachuting.
Explore RV in Denton and Mesquite come up on the Airstream website. I too have some things I need handled on my 07' 27' FB Safari SE LS and am looking for a good dealer to handle them. I am in McKinney. My dealer that was in Rockwall (Rrandall Noe Airstream) is no longer. Biggest issues are the front compartment weatherstripping, Tank Monitor calibration and the black tank cleaner thing leaks behind the wall where the hose connects to the exterior. Anyone have experience with the Explore RV guys?
Looking for a AS repair. O7 bambi. Awning bracket is broken. Dallas Fort Worth area. Any suggestions?
Call Randy at N. Dallas RV. They are just off George Bush at I35. Their shop isn't much to look at but they do good work and know what they are doing. They fixed my awning bracket.
Thanks everyone! Dropped the Bambi off at North Dallas RV yesterday. Spoke with Randy. I will keep you posted. It was amazing to see so many different AS on his lot. Lots of original vintage trailers for sale waiting for some TLC.
