Detection of mildew

Recently we had a leak in the water pump. The water made the laminate floor buckle slightly. Now that it is dry it does not look to bad. How do I determine whether there is any mildew or mould under the laminate flooring without ripping it all up? Pat

Try this or similar.

http://www.moldcheck.com/

Otherwise dry it out then hit with string Ckorox bleach dose but not enough to warp wood. Clorox will kill the mold in most cases. Or you can get a mold remediation team to inspect.... However, be advised these guys never fail to find mold. YMMV.

White wine vinegar is also good on most forms of mold, and may be gentler on the wood than Chlorox.
