DENT repair???

We bought a used 2010 23' Flying Cloud from dealer. We noticed a 6" roundish dent on the front neat the top (see photo). I guess they didn't want to mess with it cause the dealer called it a "character bump" and said it couldn't be pulled out since it was not on a flat surface and a riveted seam. Blowing smoke or was he telling the truth? Seems like they pull dents out of cars all the time, so why not on an AS???

From my personal experience, this does not look pullable. The seam line makes it more difficult. As long as the seam does not leak water, I would leave it alone. Auto paintless dent repair is accomplished by usually pushing from the back side. The interior wall prevents you from doing this on an Airstream. If the dent was not on the seam you might try pulling with a " Dent King" that uses hot melt adhesive to bond a puller pad to the aluminum.

I have one of these dent pullers and it would easily pull out that dent. Even over a seam it just needs to be duct taped down to hold the seal.

I pulled a lot of dents out of mine with the dent king. It could sit on both sides of the seam, and it holds pretty well.
