Rubber Roof Compound!

This thing leaked like a sieve. I had so many pots and pans sitting around it was hard to move around. I thought, ok Sue, you can handle this.........but when I heard a drip in the bedroom and headed back there it was dripping on the bed. That did it, I put a pan on the bed and headed to the nearest motel which was not one of the high dollar ones in this area but I felt it would be ok for one night. Well, I had to stand in line with a few questionable gals, waiting for a room for one night. laughing....not a good scene. Then the next night I had to repeat the whole thing because it continued to rain. And on top of that I had to work that day and while I was at work another leak showed up in the bathroom and soaked my only roll of toilet paper..............sigh. Life do get tedious. But no rain in the forecast, I think, for a while. They call it liquid sunshine.
Bob you asked and you got an answer. I hope this passes the moderators ok.

Get the campground to douse the top of that SOB with rubber roof compound if you get a dry day.... sure won't hurt an SOB.

I'm so glad you're getting it fixed right. I'm just hoping Andy et al will open an Inland RV on the east coast.... Like in VIRGINIA!!!!!

Rubber roof

The owner of the park told me to make a list of all the things that need to be fixed so he can rent out this piece of stuff and I already have more than he wants to hear.

They have mentioned the rubber roof coating which I believe they are going to do. But I have no idea how their going to stop the water from coming through the windows and dribbling down the inside. Plus, the shower head has pulled out from the fiber glass tub wall and the tub won't drain. Thank goodness we have great showers in this park. Plus the heater does not work.

Gosh, Mariposa looks cold in the photo Andy posted. Makes me shiver. Although I think it is warmer where she is than here. I am about 50 feet above sea level but it gets mighty cold at night. The RVrs from BC think it is warm, they love the heated pool and hot tub and think this is a balmy, 60 degrees.

Thanks Andy for posting the pictures.

Yep, they SHOULD bask in the heat there. It's 35F this morning and a light snow is falling in Vancouver, BC. It's supposed to hit low 40's F this aft with sun, then rain the following week. For those of us still stuck in BC for the winter perhaps you would mind kicking them out of the hot tub for us ?

Sue,
Mariposa may be feeling a draft but she's more like a highschool girl trying out a dress for the high school prom. Wow, she's going to look beautiful when she comes out of the dressing room, I mean the shop.

Sue I am so happy to see your Excella is being repaired. Soon she will be good as new. Are you having Andy look at anything else? You might as well have any odd items repaired while she is in the shop.

I just read that thread again and one question still remains.

Did you every have to pay NY for hitting the building?

I did my best to knock down a palm tree with my truck at Fort DeSoto Park a couple of years ago.

Sue, with the lousy experience with the Park Model your luck should change for the good. As an old pilot I have always found bad things happen in three's, so you should be good for a while. From my experience the only thing worse than wet toliet paper is sandy wet toliet paper.

Too funny! You should use that on your signature line.
