custom build help needed

hi there from england


im after building a trailer " airstreame" style but with my own touch inside

my problem i need help with is building the shell to make it secure and dry has any one got any plans or step by step instructions or is prepared to help me out?

ive got a aliuminium twin axle chassis at hand ready to start the project

Welcome to Airforums.com, tjr!

We hope that you will buy and renovate a real vintage "Airstream" (only one "e" in Airstream, btw) rather than roll your own, but if you are determined to make one, here's a video of how Airstream do it themselves:

Welcome to the forum.

I've never seen any plans to build Airstreams from, but I have seen some home built trailers styled after them, so I know it can be done.

The only suggestions I would have is to view some of the videos on line about how they are built, and that will at least give you some ideas.

are the panels overlapped? so the water drains of , or are they weleded at all , to make it water tight ? as thats one of my main concerns and not nowing any one near by me that has one to look at the im slightly stuck to get a good luck at one cheers

They are overlapped so the water drains off, and rivited together. There also needs to be a sealant between the panels.
