Good questions... the insurance ought to pay for it... the question is going to be how to value the trailer. I don't think it's even close to being totalled; they're going to argue that the market value is only half of the $5k... I'll be VERY surprised if they just pony up the money without a fight...

I'd like to see the trailer fixed... but we'll have to see...

Hmmm...for what its worth...the dealer here does excellent panel repair.
Large side panel $1000.
Based on that the estimate sounds a little high.
There are several expert panel replacement individuals
scattered around that beat dealer prices hands down.
One that pops into mind is located in TX...another in MN.
Dont know if that idea interests you but Id be glad to share contact info with you if you'd like.

Glad to hear it Roger. Good they ponied up. You mentioned the water stains on the pillow, is the work done already? If so, how satisfied are you with the work?

Actually, Brad... I think that was someone else who was concerned that their trailer had sat out in the rain during repairs. I haven't taken mine in yet. Just got the check yesterday. Frankly, since I was going to sell the trailer anyway, I may just take the money and run and give someone else a good deal on an imminently restoreable '53 Flying Cloud.
