cover walls

hi, i am wondering if anyone has covered the vinyl walls with anything other than paint? i have some naval nautical maps and would like to cover the upper part with them. maybe fabric on the bottom. i will have to do some research on adhesives but it seems like a viable alternative to painting. if i could find an adhesive that could be removed easily in the future all the better. could it be as simple as wallpaper glue and a spray sealer?
thanks for any idea's, knowledge, and opinions in advance.

I saw an airstream years back on the forum that did that. I like the idea. Not sure on adhesive though. But it can be done
