Cord/Hose reels

Is there a good way to clean/repair the automatic elect. cord and hose reels. They operate but I have help them...kinda defeats the purpose.

Okay, would I be correct in assuming that this is maybe an aftermarket add-on? Or maybe a not-too-often used option from Airsteam?

While asking about options, was a water pressure regulator an option, standard or aftermarket? Thanks

You can remove the guards that stop the hose end or the power plug and then wind the reel tighter just like fixing a roller blind.
