Colonial Airstream Excellent Service
I recently posted a thread for advise on repairs to our Atwood furnace. 2017 27FCFBT.
We moved the trailer from the midwest, so the original dealer is not an option. We live in Annapolis, so there are no local dealers.
Airstream Customer Service advised that the furnace would be covered by the Atwood warranty, so any Atwood certified tech could do the work.
I thought the furnace just needed tuning, so a warranty claim was unlikely.
I contacted a local RV center, who offered an appointment in May (this was in February) and they would need the trailer for 8-10 days. Plus, they would only honor warranties on units that they sell.
Per a friend's recommendation, I contacted Colonial Airstream in NJ (a seven hour round trip). They offered an appointment in two weeks, plus I could wait for the work.
I booked the appointment. The service at Colonial was fantastic! They were on time, clean and professional. I will gladly travel the seven hours to have Colonial service my future needs.
FYI, the furnace problem (a propane odor when used) was due to mud daubers nesting in the exhaust. It was a mess! A mesh cover solves that issue.
Kudos to Gary and the team at Colonial.
