With ours being so dirty dry didn’t do much but I think in the future hitting it regularly dry would take care of most of it.

Agree with Cannonball, a soft bristle brushing followed by a quick vacuum (hand-held Dyson) works for us.

Our shower vent fan screen had mud dauber nests in it so we had to remove the screen and clean it. We did the job from inside the camper using…
1. Phillips P2 screwdriver
2. Phillips P1 screwdriver
3. Small “L” shaped offset screwdriver (P1) (https://www.amazon.com/I-MART-Offset...a-729244372242)
4. Razor blade scraper (https://www.amazon.com/Razor-Blade-S...-3-spons&psc=1)
5. Safety glasses
6. Hand vacuum
7. Bath/Shower Caulk
8. Needle nose pliers
9. Old tooth brush
10. Scraper

The job took approx. 1 hour (lots of cleanup from mud daubers). We removed the plastic shroud with P2 screwdriver (note the orientation of the shroud, it has a notch in it). Scraped off old caulk with razor. Removed two P1 screws from vent handle sides using P1 offset screwdriver and needle nose pliers (had to push up on fiberglass a little bit for access). Removed fan red button retaining nut (by hand). Removed two P1 screen screws. Cleaned screen with tooth brush. Cleaned housing with scraper and wet paper towels. Reassembled. Applied caulk around shroud edges. Not a bad job at all (for my model). Hardest part, as stated earlier, are the P1 screws on the outside edge of the vent handle. The offset screwdriver and needle nose work good though… Hope this helps.
