city water inop

I have a 25' Safari and am using the water for the first time. The pump and fresh water tank work fine. When I hook up to city water it sputters and has very low pressure for a couple of minutes then it dwindles away to nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

I had the same issue with mine. I ended up removing and cleaning everything from the pressure regulator to the city hose connection. It was full of debris from not (at least) using a screen hose washer at the inlet. The good news is, mine was easy to get at and easy to clean.

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

how to clean regulator?

Mine is in the street side rear storage locker. I removed the inlet screen and that did not help. The regulator looks like it may have some kind valve with a turn handle like a faucet that comes up through the floor by the bed. How do you get it out and how do you clean it? Is there a way to use the pump to back flush it? No water is getting thru.

They should be similar. From the front to the back in my picture is the drain valve, the pop off valve, the pressure regulator and the backflow preventer. Mine was plugged up in front of the backflow preventer. I removed everything that wasn't soldered in, took it all apart, and cleaned it all. I had city pressure after cleaning.
